The Vision, Passion, and Heritage

A Father's Vision

Earl Anthony Cooper has always been a dreamer. When his father saw a flyer about an inner city youth golf program in Wilmington, Delaware he had a vision of seeing his son become a professional golfer. With this vision he signed his son up for the program, even though his son had never played golf before.

A Son's Passion

With his father’s encouragement, Earl Anthony continued to play golf. When he finished second place in The Golf Channel’s 2003 Drive, Chip and Putt Skill national championship, he realized that golf was his game. He immediately began to practice more and work harder on his skills. Earl Anthony'’s excitement and enthusiasm for the game has caused him to sleep, eat and think golf. This passion has given him opportunities to travel the country and play on exclusive golf courses.

A Proud Heritage

Earl Anthony fully understands the significance of taking full advantage of the opportunity to fulfill his dream of becoming a PGA Tour member. He recognizes the sacrifice family and others have made for this dream to become a reality. It was almost unthinkable those many years ago when he picked up a club and took his first swing that he would end up being a high school all-state golfer, receive a scholarship to play golf in college, receive his college degree, become a two time all-conference college player and be instrumental in his team winning its first National Championship in golf in the history of Morehouse College. Traveling the country playing a game he loves and giving lessons to young and old, Earl Anthony is grateful as he reflects back to the time when as an urban African American youth, he didn’t even know what golf was! He’s living his dream through hard work, sacrifice, and commitment.
